A Car Break-In Led to the Theft of Secret Beyoncé Music… And Now Someone Is Going to Prison

Court documents obtained by the BBC reveal that Evans accepted a plea agreement shortly before his trial was scheduled to begin this week in Fulton County Superior Court.

Jury selection had already started when prosecutors began presenting surveillance footage linked to the case.

One video reportedly showed a red Hyundai driven by Evans entering the parking garage and pulling up beside the rented Jeep Wagoneer.

Additional surveillance footage later captured the same vehicle arriving at an apartment complex, where Evans was allegedly seen handling suitcases believed to belong to Beyoncé’s crew members.

Investigators were ultimately able to connect Evans to the stolen laptops using built-in tracking technology that allegedly placed the devices near the apartment shown in the footage.

According to prosecutors, the digital evidence played a major role in linking Evans to the theft.
