According to investigators, the break-in targeted a rented Jeep Wagoneer being used by members of Beyoncé’s creative team — including choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.
Authorities believe Evans acted opportunistically, with no indication he specifically knew the vehicle belonged to Beyoncé’s team before the crime occurred.
However, what prosecutors later discovered inside the stolen luggage quickly transformed the case into a major headline-making investigation.
Police say the stolen items included two Apple MacBook laptops, expensive clothing and accessories, Apple headphones, and multiple hard drives that reportedly contained unreleased Beyoncé music and confidential tour-related material.
