A Texas man is facing serious criminal charges after authorities say he made online threats targeting a prominent speaker and an upcoming political event expected to attract thousands of attendees.

According to investigators, 26-year-old Jacob Wenske has been charged with a third-degree felony count of making a terroristic threat following a series of alarming online messages allegedly directed at Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and speaker Erika Kirk.

The case has drawn significant attention as officials describe a pattern of escalating threats that included references to violence and a potential bombing.
