To avoid misuse, it is important to understand what this button does not do:
Not an emergency release
It does not disconnect the seat belt. To unbuckle, you still need to press the red release button on the buckle.
Not a way to loosen the belt while driving
Do not use the adjuster to introduce slack or lower the belt into an unsafe position. The belt should remain snug and correctly positioned whenever the vehicle is moving.
Not for use with child seats or boosters
When installing a child seat, follow the manufacturer’s instructions exactly. The belt must be routed and locked as specified. Do not use the height adjuster to “improve comfort” or alter the routing.
Not a substitute for correct seat adjustment
You should still set your seat distance, height, backrest angle and steering wheel position correctly before adjusting the belt height.
