Height, shoulder width and clothing layers all affect how a seat belt fits.
The height adjuster allows each driver and front passenger to set a belt position tailored to their body rather than relying on a fixed mounting point.
A correct fit means that the belt:
- Crosses the middle of your shoulder and chest, not your neck or upper arm.
- Lies low and snug across the hips, not across the abdomen.
- Remains flat without twists or folds in the webbing.
