2. Crack nuts without a nutcracker

If you don’t own a nutcracker – or can’t be bothered to dig it out – your scissors can step in.

How to use it:

– Place a walnut, pecan or similar nut in the toothed notch.
– Slowly squeeze the handles until the shell cracks.
– Remove the shell pieces and take out the nut inside.

It’s especially handy for quick baking sessions or holiday snacks when you just need to crack a few, not a whole bowlful.
