Why did these things disappear?

Liquid soap and foaming dispensers are easier to brand, package, and sell. They look “modern.” Hotels can buy them in bulk, refill or swap cartridges, and slap a logo on the bottle.

Bar soap on a metal rod doesn’t scream luxury or spa vibes – even if it quietly outperforms a lot of plastic pumps.

But here’s the twist: rotating soap holders are slowly making a comeback.

People who care about waste and plastic are realizing that:

– One metal arm can last for decades
– Bars don’t need plastic bottles or pumps
– The whole system is incredibly low-maintenance

Some homeowners are actually hunting down vintage models or buying new versions to install in modern bathrooms purely because they’re practical and eco-friendly.
