Step 6: Add Baking Soda for a Deep Clean
After the vinegar cycle finishes, sprinkle ½ cup (120 g) of baking soda evenly into the drum.
Run another hot cycle (same settings as Step 5). This step neutralizes odors, brightens the drum, and removes any leftover grime. This cycle also takes roughly 1–1.5 hours.
Step 7: Final Wipe Down and Drying
Once the baking soda cycle is complete, wipe the drum interior with a dry microfiber cloth.
Leave the door open for 2–4 hours to allow full air-drying — this prevents mold growth and lingering odors.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
• Don’t leave wet clothes inside for more than 1 hour.
• Don’t shut the door immediately after use — moisture needs to escape.
• Don’t use bleach and vinegar together (they create harmful fumes).
• Avoid overloading — it reduces cleaning performance.
