As cameras rolled during the pre-race ceremony, fans began sharing screenshots, clips, and reactions online. Within hours, social media users were calling the moment unforgettable — and many said the images alone told the story.
A Difficult Day for the Busch Family
Ahead of Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, the Busch family gathered on pit road to honor and remember NASCAR driver Kyle Busch. Drivers and teams across the garage also wore Kyle Busch Motorsports gear before the race.
The atmosphere at Charlotte Motor Speedway was emotional as the NASCAR community surrounded the family before the invocation and national anthem.

During the gathering, women approached Busch’s widow, Samantha, one by one to comfort her while cameras continued to capture the scene unfolding across pit road.
At one point, Kyle Larson’s son, Owen, nervously walked over toward Brexton Busch shortly before the moment of silence. Photos and video clips of the interaction quickly began circulating online afterward.

Fans Focus on One Particular Moment
As the clips spread online, many NASCAR fans reacted strongly to what they saw between the two boys. One viewer wrote, “Just a beautiful show of kindness and respect.”
Another person commented, “It was so sweet and genuine. He wanted his friend to know he loved him.” A third viewer focused on a small detail captured in the video, writing, “The way Bexton rubbed his back tells you how much that moment ment [sic] to him.”
