Jack the Ripper’s identity is once again in the spotlight after a historian claimed to have finally unmasked the notorious killer.

The killer terrorized London’s Whitechapel district in 1888, murdering five women: Elizabeth Stride, Mary Jane Kelly, Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman and Catherine Eddowes.

The victims, believed to have been sex workers, were found with horrific injuries, their bodies mutilated and some organs removed. Despite endless theories, the true identity of Jack the Ripper has never been officially confirmed.
