“Where he usually sits is exactly where the truck hit,” she said, emphasizing how close the situation came to becoming fatal.
Despite the destruction, there was some relief. The neighbor’s dog, initially a major concern, was found safe.
“You know, he was worried about his dog. We got the dog, the dog is fine. He’s safe,” Thomas said. “It could’ve been a lot worse. It really could’ve. It could’ve been a lot worse.”
