I Lost Almost Everything to Drugs, Then I Finally Chose to Come Back

Then I met a group of people through work.

They weren’t dangerous-looking people. They weren’t criminals or strangers hiding in dark places. They were normal people who joked around, went out together, and seemed to have fewer worries than everyone else.

One night, someone offered me something.

I remember hesitating.

“Just try it,” my friend said. “It’s not like you’re going to become an addict from one night.”

That sentence stayed with me for years.

I tried it.
