Tiger and Vanessa Reportedly Worked Through the Fallout Together
Despite reports of tension following Tiger’s crash and DUI arrest, later updates suggested the relationship did not unravel behind the scenes.
According to People on May 17, Tiger returned home to Jupiter, Florida, after spending six weeks overseas receiving treatment following the incident.

One source in Jupiter said Tiger was focused on moving forward after returning home. “Tiger took his trip seriously and is all about continuing his recovery and putting this chapter behind him,” the source said. The same source added that Tiger is “in good spirits” and that he “can’t wait to put the legal issues to rest.”

The source also said Vanessa remained supportive throughout Tiger’s recovery. “Vanessa and Tiger are in love, still serious, and happy to see each other,” the source told the outlet, adding that both of them dislike public scandals “intensely.”
The insider further claimed Tiger had grown especially close to Vanessa’s family, describing her children as being “like family” to him, specifically pointing to Vanessa’s eldest daughter, Kai, who is pursuing golf and is close in age to Tiger’s children.
The same source also described Vanessa as “super supportive and positive,” while noting that both she and Tiger balance demanding schedules centered on parenting and work. A second source in Jupiter said the couple stayed connected throughout Tiger’s time away. “Each was glad to see the other, although they kept in touch while he was away,” the second source said.
This source added that their shared passion for golf helped strengthen the relationship during difficult periods, particularly as Tiger dealt with injuries and recovery.
“There is no question that they are in love and [that] their mutual interest in golf has helped even in the hard times when Tiger was fighting his pain and other issues resulting from injuries and aging,” the source said.
