A quiet Louisiana community is struggling to come to terms with an unimaginable tragedy after police identified the man accused of carrying out a horrific mass shooting that left eight young children dead.
Authorities say 31-year-old Shamar Elkins was responsible for the devastating attack that unfolded early Sunday morning in Shreveport. According to investigators, what began as a domestic violence situation quickly escalated into one of the most heartbreaking crimes the area has ever witnessed.
