Argentine TikToker Says Poor People Shouldn’t Have Children and Her Words Ignite a Fierce Debate

A young Argentine content creator has set off a heated online argument after declaring that people who cannot afford their own basic needs should not bring children into the same hardship.

Keila Rodríguez made the controversial remarks in a short TikTok video that spread far beyond her usual audience. Her message was blunt: becoming a parent should come only after a person is financially able to provide food, clothing, healthcare and education for a child.

“If you live with an empty stomach, you have no right to bring more hunger into the world,” Rodríguez said, according to Argentine outlet A24.
