His lawyer says Peters has “accepted responsibility for his conduct”.
In a statement to the BBC, his attorney Jeffrey Neiman said his client “reached a resolution that appropriately reflects the circumstances of this incident”.
“He is committed to moving forward responsibly and ensuring nothing like this occurs again,” he said. “We appreciate the professionalism of the State and the Court in resolving this matter.”
Fellow social media personality Andrew Morales, known online as “The Cuban Tarzan”, also pleaded no contest in connection to the apparent shooting and received a similar deal.
A third person, Yabdiel Anibal Cotto Torres, who goes by “Baby Alien” online, was also charged in the case. Torres is scheduled to enter a plea on 20 May.
