But according to reports, the phenomenon became so frequent that the sheriff’s office launched its own investigation… and Sheriff John Grossnickle now says he has personally seen the objects with his own eyes.
“We’ve worked with everybody,” a spokesman for the sheriff’s office said. “We’ve tried everything to figure out what they are… and nobody wants to give us answers.”
That statement alone has left many people unsettled.
Even more surprising, the sheriff reportedly invited a US House representative to witness the lights herself — and claims she saw them too.
Officials say the objects behave similarly to drones, yet appear far too high in the sky to identify clearly. Some residents claim they move in coordinated patterns unlike normal aircraft, while others fear something is being hidden from the public.
One official described the sightings as becoming “the new normal.”
