They thought they were walking into a routine stop.
Fog. A lonely highway. A figure in the road holding something dark in his hand.
Protocol says you assume the worst until you can prove otherwise.
So they did what they were trained to do.
Lights on. Commands issued. K9 deployed.
And then the one thing that never “goes off-script”… did.
The dog didn’t lunge.
Didn’t bark.
Didn’t bite.
He ran straight to the suspect and wrapped him up like he’d found someone he’d been searching for his whole life.
