Two U.S. service members have gone missing in southwestern Morocco following their participation in the annual multinational military exercise known as African Lion, according to a statement released Sunday by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM). This region is known for its challenging geography, combining rugged mountainous terrain with stretches of desert and semi-desert plains, conditions that can complicate both navigation and search efforts.
