  1. Hang Wreaths Without Damaging the Door
    Skip nails, staples and metal over-door hangers that scratch paint. Instead:
    • Stick an upside-down removable hook (like a Command Hook) on the inside of the door.
    • Loop ribbon, string or fishing line around the wreath.
    • Bring it over the top of the door and hook it on the inside.
    Your door stays intact, and the wreath hangs cleanly on the outside.
  2. DIY Sidewalk Salt Shaker
    To spread deicer evenly without lugging a big bag:
    • Use a large plastic coffee container with a handle.
    • Punch several ¼-inch holes in the lid.
    • Fill with deicer, sand, cat litter, or a mix.
    Shake it like a giant salt shaker for quick, targeted ice control.
