I’ve been using a product for several years that allows me to quickly remove soot and grease.
I have a cast iron grate, but this method also works with grates made of other metals.
Dishwasher tablets: universal detergent.
First, you need a pan that fits the grate, fill it with water, and put it on the stove. Add two dishwasher tablets to the water. The water should boil; then, place a grate on the pan and let it boil for about half an hour.
